Anna vs. Dechy

Anna’s second round opponent at the Open Gaz De France is local favorite wild card Nathalie Dechy, who defeated Shuai Peng 6-4 7-6 in the opening round.
They have played once before, in Montreal 2006. Anna won that match in two easy sets, 6-1, 6-4.
If she overcomes Dechy, Anna will most likely play another French player, former World No. 1 Amelie Mauresmo in the third round.
Anna reached quarter final of this event last year, (she lost to Mauresmo 7-6(5) 7-5) and has 70 points to defend.
The winner of this Tier II event will get 275 points.
