Chakvedatze beats Hantuchova at Hong Kong exhibition

World No. 6 Chakvetadze beat World No. 9 Daniela Hantuchova from Slovakia 6-4, 6-3.
Up 5-4 in the first set, Chakvetadze came back from 0-40 to break Hantuchova with a backhand down-the-line winner. She broke the Slovakian again in the second game of the second set as she closed out the match in straight sets.
Anna will next face compatriot Maria Sharapova in the semifinals.
The eight-woman field at the JB Group Classic also features six-time Grand Slam winner American Venus Williams, Serbian World No. 4 Ana Ivanovic, Russia's Elena Dementieva and China's Peng Shuai.
